Dodgers notes: Yu Darvish put time on DL to use, refining mechanics

LOS ANGELES – Before Yu Darvish joined the Dodgers, pitching coach Rick Honeycutt did his homework, studying video of the right-hander from throughout his career with the Texas Rangers.
To Honeycutt’s highly trained eye, what he saw on video and what he saw in person during Darvish’s three starts with the Dodgers – particularly his last two before going on the DL with lower back tightness – was significantly different.
