Dodgers Notes: Team is stretching out its relievers, to mostly good effect

LOS ANGELES — When Sergio Romo handed the ball to manager Dave Roberts in the seventh inning of Sunday’s game against the Chicago Cubs, he did something no Dodger relief pitcher had done since, well, himself: he left a game after recording fewer than four outs.
Between Romo’s appearances on Wednesday and Sunday, every reliever followed an unusual pattern.
