Dodgers handling Walker Buehler with care this spring

GLENDALE, Ariz. – It has not been a light-hearted romp like the movie that shares his last name. But Walker Buehler has had a lot of time to play hooky.
The Dodgers are handling the 24-year-old right-hander with care this spring, wary of the potential aftereffects of a significant innings spike last season. After throwing a total of 103 innings in parts of two seasons following Tommy John surgery in 2015, Buehler threw 177 innings last year (majors, minors and postseason combined).
