Gavin Lux is learning to trust again.
He was minding his own business one spring afternoon last year, running the bases during a Cactus League game, when his right knee betrayed him. The ACL and LCL had to be repaired by a surgery that kept him out of a batter’s box for the next year.
Back on the field this season, Lux’s knee was fixed but he still had to recover mentally. His knee might have been healthy but it took longer for his confidence in that knee to return.
