Dodgers acquire catcher Travis d’Arnaud to add a right-handed bat

SAN DIEGO –The Dodgers search for a right-handed bat in the wake of A.J. Pollock’s injury led them to an unexpected place – catcher.
Travis d’Arnaud was signed and joined the Dodgers at Petco Park Sunday. Matt Beaty – done in by being left-handed – was sent back to Triple-A after going 2 for 3 as a pinch-hitter in his first taste of the big leagues.
