Dion Phaneuf says Kings’ welcome wagon made transition easy

LOS ANGELES — Dion Phaneuf on Thursday sat at his locker following his first Kings practice at Toyota Sports Center, the team’s training facility in El Segundo. He stood up and asked reporters, “You ready?”
“He’s got a real lively personality, which I think is good for any team,” Coach John Stevens said.
The Kings on Feb. 13 acquired Phaneuf and forward Nate Thompson from the Ottawa Senators for forwards Marian Gaborik and Nick Shore.
The Kings lost 7-3
