Diary of a Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney making surprise visit to L.A. elementary school

In what just might be the best day ever for some lucky kids, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” creator Jeff Kinney is coming to town Wednesday, Nov. 15.
The New York Times bestselling author is surprising students at an elementary school for a morning event coordinated by the Los Angeles Public Library – the exact school is being kept a secret, or it wouldn’t be a surprise. Later, he makes an appearance at Barnes and Noble at The Grove for a wristbanded book signing.
