Descanso Gardens’ Halloween plans include a pumpkin extravaganza throughout October

Descanso Gardens will hold a daylight pumpkin festival this autumn.
“Halloween at Descanso” opens Oct. 1 and run through Oct. 25 with hours of 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
From Oct. 26 to Oct. 31, hours will be extended to 8 p.m. But on Halloween night, extended hours will be reserved for the botanical garden’s Family Plus members, according to a news release.
Displays at the 150-acre property will include a house made of pumpkins, a pumpkin arch, and a pumpkin mandala.
