‘Demoted’ Corey Perry rediscovers scoring touch for Ducks

ANAHEIM – Considering how much he has leaned on the winger for nine of his 12 seasons as an NHL head coach, Randy Carlyle didn’t feel good about dropping Corey Perry to the Ducks’ fourth line.
But one of Carlyle’s go-to sayings is that it is a results-oriented business and Perry hadn’t delivered many after coming back from a knee injury in early January. Hence the uncommon move with the former All-Star winger that raised eyebrows.
