Crash into fire hydrant leaves street in Orange flooded

ORANGE — A motorist slammed a car into a fire hydrant and knocked down power lines alongside an Orange street Wednesday morning, leaving the roadway flooded.
The crash occurred just before 10:30 a.m. on Fairhaven Avenue at Woodland Street, according to Lt. Jennifer Amat of the Orange Police Department. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
