Coronavirus state tracker: 13,000-plus surge in cases on Aug. 10, partially due to state’s backlog

Even with not all of California’s 58 counties updating the daily new case counts for coronavirus the state had an estimated 13,268 new cases on Monday, Aug. 10. Nearly all counties cited a backlog of cases due to trouble with the state’s database. The CalREDIE Electronic Laboratory Reporting system is experiencing issues with the application that receives test reports from laboratories and then sends them to CalREDIE.
