Coronavirus rebound? California consumers more confident in May

California consumers felt a bit more confident in May with a jump optimism about the financial future, according to one survey.
The state’s consumer confidence, as measured by the Conference Board, was up this month as the state economy slowing started to reopen. A month ago, California consumer confidence crumbled to a six-year low with the biggest one-month drop in the index’s history dating to 2007.
