Coronavirus: More than 17,000 tests reported in Orange County as of Aug. 3 after state back log is resolved

The Orange County Health Care Agency reported 17,133 new tests and a cumulative testing total of 435,927, as of Monday, Aug. 3.
The number of new tests is higher than usual because of a back log that was created when the CalREDIE Electronic Laboratory Reporting system became unavailable for laboratories to upload test results as of Saturday, July 25. The numbers have now caught up.
