Coronavirus leaves elderly and other would-be protesters feeling frustrated
Never intending to become a lifelong activist, Marilyn Boehm joined her first protest in 1969 – a civil rights demonstration on the campus of what is now Cal State Northridge.
That was also the first, and only, time Boehm landed in jail – along with about 250 fellow students after the rally was declared an unlawful assembly.
