Coronavirus hammers dining out, especially Chinese food

Coronavirus is putting lots of paychecks under pressure, so it’s no surprise that the once-sizzling hot Southern California restaurant business is slow.
It’s a bit off-putting to see this retreat especially battering the Chinese food segment.
Few hard local numbers are yet available, but a new nationwide survey from USC says found 25% of people polled “have avoided restaurants in general” and 18% “specifically avoided Chinese restaurants.”
