Coronavirus: 85 new cases, 8 deaths in Orange County on Oct. 17

The Orange County Health Care Agency reported 85 new cases of the coronavirus on Saturday, Oct. 17, increasing the cumulative total to 56,672 cases.
The county has had an estimated 5,273 cases in the last 30 days.
There were eight new deaths from the coronavirus reported on Saturday –  with a total of 68 deaths among the last four updates – but county health officials noted that doesn’t mean the eight deaths all occurred in the past few days.
The data on deaths in the coun
