Cornerback Trumaine Johnson absent from Rams’ offseason practice

THOUSAND OAKS — Sean McVay’s first offseason program as Rams coach has been bumpier than expected. The Rams have lost a second defensive star in nine days, presumably not because of injury.
Cornerback Trumaine Johnson, set to be the Rams’ highest paid player in 2017 and the star of their secondary, did not attend Tuesday’s practice at Cal Lutheran and apparently didn’t give the team a reason.
