Corky Carroll: Big week in Surf City

This coming week is huge for the local surfing community as the annual US Open of Surfing is going on at Huntington Beach Pier, featuring the top surfers in the world.
Along with this comes many fantastic side events that I like to tell you about.
One of my favorites is the induction ceremony for the Surfers’ Hall of Fame, to be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at the Surfers Hall of Fame Plaza in front of Huntington Surf and Sport, at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street.
