Connor Joe’s Dodger Stadium debut comes in an unexpected uniform

LOS ANGELES — Connor Joe got the call on Dec. 13 from his agent, John Boggs, informing him that his name had been called in the Rule 5 draft. The Cincinnati Reds called shortly thereafter to welcome him to his new team. Just like that, Joe was no longer a Dodger.
Five games into the new season, Joe made it to Dodger Stadium anyway. He was the Giants’ starting left fielder Monday for the opener of a three-game series.
