Connections: What’s the future of cursive writing in schools?

Not having been blessed with grandchildren, the news came to me a little late. I couldn’t believe it. “Yes,” said the mother of my great nephew, “it’s true. Schools will no longer teach cursive writing.” Pictured memories came to me with smiles. “I remember that lined yellow paper on which we were taught cursive writing. I loved it and the paper.” It was like learning art, but this I could do. All the hours practicing were a delight for me.
