Cold-shooting Long Beach State can’t escape early hole at Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz. — Long Beach State found itself in a first-half hole it could not recover from on Monday night as the cold-shooting 49ers fell behind by as many as 22 points before halftime in a 90-58 loss to Arizona State.
Remy Martin had 15 points to lead ASU, Luguentz Dort added 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Arizona State (3-0) doubled up the 49ers in rebounds with a 63-30 edge. Four other players scored in double figures, including Kimani Lawrence’s 13 points and 12 each
