Clippers sign C.J. Williams to 3-year contract

LOS ANGELES — C.J. Williams’ passport was filled with stamps from France, Greece and Italy before he signed a two-way contract with the Clippers in October. He split his season between the Clippers and their G-League team, a 28-year-old who was a rookie in name only.
Williams, 28, averaged 5.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1 assist in 18 minutes over 36 games with the Clippers. He did it without practicing with them, flying cross-country at times to catch up with them after playing and/or
