Clippers retain Tyrone Wallace, match Pelicans’ offer sheet

The Clippers will retain guard Tyrone Wallace, matching a two-year, $2.9 million offer sheet from the New Orleans Pelicans, the team announced Wednesday.
Wallace – a 6-foot-5 guard – spent last season on a two-way contract with the team. He played 30 games with the injury-plagued Clippers, starting 19 and averaging 9.7 points in 28 minutes per game.
