Clayton Andrews throws another gem as Long Beach State edges Cal State Fullerton 1-0

LONG BEACH — The postgame fireworks at Blair Field on Friday night were exciting, but no more so than Long Beach State’s Clayton Andrews.
The 5-foot-6 left-handed two-way player pitched the first complete game of the Dirtbags’ season in the penultimate game of 2018, a six-hit shutout of rival Cal State Fullerton in a 1-0 victory. The junior struck out 11 and extended his fine late-season stretch to one run and 19 hits allowed in his last five starts spanning 30 innings.
