CIF State Wrestling roundup

Joey Daniel of Santa Ana became the school’s first CIF wrestling state champion Saturday when he won the state title at 220 pounds.
Daniel, a senior, defeated Isaiah Perez of Pitman by decision 6-2 in the state finals at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.
Two other Orange County wrestlers, junior Trey Munoz of Trabuco Hills and Esperanza sophomore Aaron Nagao, advanced to state finals. Munoz lost a 1-0 decision to Domomic Mata of Poway in the 152 final. Nagao lost to Maximo Renteria of Buchana
