CHP pursues vehicle on Interstate 5 freeway

SAN CLEMENTE California Highway Patrol officers pursued a silver Lexus south on Interstate 5 through Orange County for about 40 minutes Saturday, July 29, before the driver surrendered to authorities.
Around 6:50 p.m. a man driving the car, which had some of its tires blown out, surrendered to officers south of San Onofre State Beach, NBC4 reported.
Fountain Valley police requested that the CHP take over the pursuit around 6:15 p.m. dispatchers said.
