CHP chases pickup into Carson, pursuit began in Orange County

CARSON — Authorities early Saturday were searching for a man who led them on a high-speed chase in a pickup truck  that began in Orange County and ended in Carson where he abandoned the truck and ran into a residential area.
It wasn’t immediately clear exactly when and where the chase began but CHP officers in Los Angeles County picked it up around 10:30 p.m. Friday on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Long Beach, according to CHP Officer Tony Polizzi.
