Chargers squander solid defensive showing in ugly loss to Ravens

CARSON – In a high-stakes game of keep-away, here was their last, desperate line of defense.
The Chargers defense stood at the 2-yard-line, understandably gassed. Midway through the second quarter, nothing seemed to be working. Their offense had no rhythm whatsoever; in three drives, the Chargers mustered a meager seven plays and 14 yards. The Ravens, meanwhile, had just driven the field in a dozen plays, and now, left with a fourth down, they were going for the jugular.
