Chargers QB Philip Rivers hints next two games could be his last

CARSON — It was an assumption that quarterback Philip Rivers would be welcomed back with open arms by the Chargers if he decided to return for a 17th NFL season.
Rivers entered this season without a contract extension, but the awkwardness was brushed aside because of what the Chargers said in the offseason.
