Chargers lean on RB Melvin Gordon again for second straight win

OAKLAND — Melvin Gordon isn’t a fan of goal-line leaps. But if it’s the only way to score, well, he’ll take the risk.
In a 17-16 road win over the Raiders on Sunday, the Chargers running back vaulted into the end zone for his team’s first points of the game. That scoring play echoed one that he pulled off in Week 1 against Denver, one that saw him cover three yards through the air.
For Gordon, however, it also called to mind an unpleasant memory from last season.
