Chargers’ Desmond King makes impact after missing first quarter vs. Broncos

DENVER — Desmond King sat at the end of the bench without a helmet on, a few feet away from the Chargers’ wide receivers.
King held his pads while he watched the Chargers’ defense play the second series without him on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
Outside of a few special teams plays, the Chargers’ starting cornerback watched most of the first quarter.
King said he wasn’t in trouble. It was just a coach’s decision.
