Chapman’s first Rhodes Scholar is headed to Oxford
Vidal Arroyo noticed that for children, getting rid of cancer was sometimes just their first step in a long road to recovery.
Arroyo, volunteering at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, said he saw many children struggle with obesity and other diseases long after being declared cancer-free. Their treatments were making the children more susceptible, he said. “They are cured of one disease, but become a patient of another.”
