Car catches fire inside Cal State Fullerton parking garage

FULLERTON A car caught fire in a Cal State Fullerton University parking garage Wednesday, June 21,  sending a plume of smoke into the sky above campus, officials said.
The fire occurred around 11 a.m. on the fifth level on the east side of the parking structure, said CSFU spokeswoman Paula Selleck. The tires on the Dodge Intrepid exploded causing popping sounds, she said.
The car was unoccupied, and no other vehicles were damaged. Campus police are attempting to contact the registered
