Canelo suggesting Golovkin is afraid is laughable

Canelo Alvarez did the right thing Tuesday when he withdrew from his scheduled May 5 rematch with middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin that was to be contested at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Alvarez saw the writing on the wall. The Nevada commission is going to suspend him long enough at an April 18 hearing that he would not have been allowed to fight.
But one thing that Alvarez said Tuesday was utterly ridiculous.
