California lawmakers move toward 75% reduction on single-use plastics

A landmark bill to slash single-use plastic waste by 75% in California by 2032 was approved by the state Senate Sunday, Aug. 30 and is expected to win a final vote from the Assembly today, Aug. 31. The measure would address both packaging and disposable products like utensils, cups and bottles.
