Brea Museum seeks help preserving old newspapers

Did you know the Brea Museum has copies of the Brea Progress newspaper dating back to 1911?
The museum also has a photo of the newspaper’s office on Pomona Avenue, now Brea Boulevard. The sign over the door says, “The Brea Progress – A Newspaper with a Personality.”
When I started writing this column in 1999, it was published in the Brea Progress, but the “newspaper with a personality” line was long gone.
