The OCVarsity boys basketball preseason top 25 for 2018-19:
O.C. PRESEASON TOP 25 
1. Mater Dei: Mater Dei at No. 1 is as common as turkey at Thanksgiving. Gary McKnight’s 37th season should be another winning one. The Monarchs, last season’s CIF-Southern Section Open Division champions, have 6-3 sopohomore guard Devin Askew who already is getting plenty of recruiting attention.
