Bobcat fire: Containment jumps up as fire crews make headway

Firefighters were able to get 38% of the Bobcat fire contained by Wednesday morning, Sept. 23, as it grew to 113,307 blackened acres, authorities said.
One day earlier, fire crews worked, again, on protecting Mount Wilson from the blaze.
“Containment more than doubled to 38%, thanks to days of strenuous fire-line construction by firefighters working in challenging conditions,” the Angeles National Forest said on Twitter.
