Blindness is no barrier for soprano Cristina Jones
It was the very first scene that Cristina Jones, a soprano singer, was performing as a student at Cal State Fullerton, for a production of Mozart’s opera “Così fan tutte.” She was playing Despina, a maid, and the production’s directors were asking her to run a figure-8 around the stage. And skip around tables. And dash behind the counter.
Nothing out of the ordinary for a dramatic opera. Except that Jones is blind.
