Big rig fully engulfed in fire on 91 Freeway in Long Beach

LONG BEACH — A big rig caught fire Wednesday morning on the eastbound 91 Freeway in Long Beach, prompting the closure of an off-ramp until further notice.
About 4:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the eastbound Artesia Freeway at the Cherry Avenue off-ramp and located the semi with its tractor brake line on fire, according to a CHP Incident Log.
The big rig was loaded with produce and had pulled to the right side of the freeway, where it became fully engulfed in flames, t
