Big rig flips on I-5 in San Clemente, causes northbound lane closure

SAN CLEMENTE — Two northbound lanes on Interstate 5 are closed Sunday night after a semi-trailer truck flipped on its side, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was reported 8:52 p.m. Sept. 17 just south of Avenida Pico, according to the CHP website. The truck possibly clipped the right side wall, causing it to lose control, the website states. The driver is out of the vehicle, but diesel fuel ran down the storm drain.
