Beverly Hills police ID ex-felon arrested in armed robbery

BEVERLY HILLS — Police on Sunday released the name of a 23-year-old ex-felon who was arrested after a 3-hour search on Saturday night that had streets closed off and stores on lockdown.
Aaron Christopher Newsom, arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, left a handgun at or near the scene of the crime and was carrying another one, the Beverly Hills Police Department said.
