Beckman coach pleased with performance in opening game

Beckman’s football team came into the season with plenty of question marks.
But the Patriots answered some of those questions on Thursday, Aug. 31.
The Patriots exploded for 20 points in the second quarter and went on to defeat Santa Ana Valley, 37-21, in a nonleague football game at Tustin.
Beckman was led by junior running back Omar Abdullah, who rushed for 219 yards on 30 carries and two touchdowns.
