Beckman clicks on offense, earns win over Santa Ana Valley

TUSTIN – Beckman exploded for 20 points in the second quarter and went on to defeat Santa Ana Valley, 37-21, Thursday night in a nonleague football game at Tustin.
Beckman, playing its first game of the season, was led by junior running back Omar Abdullah, who rushed for 219 yards on 30 carries and two touchdowns.
Receiver Mikael Mian hauled in nine catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns for the Patriots (1-0).
