Avalanches, mudslides shut down all highways into Big Bear area

Authorities have shut down all of the highways into the Big Bear area because of icy and snowy conditions, and California Highway Patrol officials were getting ready late Thursday morning to possibly begin conducting escorts through the Cajon Pass.All highways into Big Bear are closed at this time.
