Auction of baseball’s founding documents delayed

The ownership of the 1876 documents that contained professional baseball’s original constitution has been challenged and the auction of those documents has been delayed.
SCP Auctions of Laguna Niguel announced the delay because of a “clarification of title” on the 74-page, handwritten document. The document was expected to draw as much as $3 million at auction.
