Attention drivers: Another 405 freeway closure overnight this weekend in Fountain Valley

A stretch of the 405 freeway in Fountain Valley will close in both directions for night work from 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, to 8 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7.
Similar to last weekend, the closure between Brookhurst and Magnolia streets will allow workers to finish demolition of the Slater Avenue bridge, which will be replaced. The work is part of a $1.9 billion project to widen the freeway, build new connectors and replace bridges, according to the Orange County Transportation Authority.
