Ask Brad: Why it matters that I take my own photos

Q: Hey Brad, do you always take your own photos?
A: People frequently ask me about the photos that appear in my reviews. Not because the photos are particularly good or bad but rather because they just think it’s odd that I take my own pictures. 
I do it because it’s important to show you exactly what I ate, not some fantasy version that the chef prepared for a highly orchestrated photo shoot. My reviews could certainly be prettier if I worked more closely with the Register
