As A.J. Pollock slumps, Dodgers find more playing time for Alex Verdugo
SAN FRANCISCO — The numbers mean something.
Alex Verdugo has started the past three games (including two in center field) and four of the past five. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts acknowledged Verdugo’s performance in the first month has forced him to re-assess the rookie outfielder’s playing time.
