Apple fire grows to 1,900 acres, threatens homes in Cherry Valley

A wildfire burning in Cherry Valley that has charred 1,900 acres, threatened dozens of homes and prompted mandatory evacuation throughout the community was 0% contained Saturday morning.
All evacuation orders remain in place for the Apple fire, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department reported.
